Four Drawer? Cherry Nightstand
This nightstand / cabinet was created at the request of a client to match an existing Cherry nightstand she had purchased years ago. The company has since disappeared so she couldn’t purchase another one. The cabinet is constructed with solid cherry except the drawer boxes which are maple and poplar was used as a secondary wood for the web frames between the drawers. The front legs have a gentle curve on the outside edge to match the curve on the top. It is actually a very nice looking piece of furniture. The three upper drawers are all dimensioned the same so the construction almost becomes an assembly line. Be sure to organize your workflow so you only have to do your machine setups once. The fourth drawer is hidden in plain sight. The bottom rail is actually the drawer front of a smaller invisible drawer which I found to be a very clever idea. See page 2 in the plan! A fun useful project that might well become a family heirloom. Happy woodworking!
