Glass Top Coffee Table
This coffee table is an easy to build, basic construction project. The frame is attached to the legs with woodscrews on the inside of the legs and the slats are attached with pocket screws from underneath. The top does use mortise and tenon joinery for strength and durability. The glass top makes the table a usable piece of furniture without the worry of someone setting a hot or cold drink on the wood. The cross bracing under the glass adds strength and great visual appeal. The shape of the shelf slats reminds me of Greene and Greene furniture. The top and the shelf have a chamfer on all exposed edges to lighten the look of the coffee table.
