Folding TV Table
I’m not sure how authentic this folding table is as far as being a period piece of furniture. However, the craftsman of that era: were certainly skilled enough to make something similar. The designed on the same premise as the folding stool just simpler. Kind of like the old TV tables that used to be around the same ones I ate many meals on growing up.
When set up measures approximately 30” x 36” and yet folds down to 4” thick when transporting from campsite to campsite or even as an extra work surface at home. The table would make a great place to do puzzles.
The table can be constructed out of any material, even plywood for the top, I might suggest hardwood for strength and durability. It will be a little heavier but the added strength will be worth it.
Keep in mind the legs must be cut at a 30 degree angle so the top will lay flat and have a good footing on the ground. I did design this project with screws in mind, but for purists all of the screws could be replaced with the appropriate doweling.
