This seven foot Harvest dining table makes a great addition to any kitchen. It’s pinned mortise and ten joinery is not only strong it has great visual appeal. When I originally built this table it was more of a remodel than an actual build. The client had an existing hayrack style table but wasn’t pleased with the style because no one could sit at the end of the table, so I build a new under carriage and reused her existing top. I also added the optional drawers on each side to provide more storage space. The heavy turned legs were purchased because I’m not much of a wood turner. The table was constructed out of knotty pine to match her decor. The laminated butcher block style table top uses a lot of material but the results are worth it.
